BASF completed the sale of its optical brightening agent (OBA) business to Catexel at the end of February 2026, with the transaction encompassing the international business and production at the Monthey, Switzerland site. Approximately 80 employees are reported to have transferred to Catexel and financial terms were agreed to remain confidential.
